Logitech G29 Racing Wheel

The youngest addition to my zoo of hardware is this fabulous racing wheel, with their accompanying pedals and gear shift.

Basic functionality is given once plugged in your computer, but if one wants to make use of the force feedback a custom kernel module needs to be installed. More on that in the “Software Installation” section below.

Important to note is that regardless of which kernel module you want to use (Linux stock module or custom module), the wheel needs to be set to PS3 mode to properly work. I can’t stress that too much as it once took me several hours of debugging and “fixing” the not-broken custom kernel module because of this small oversight.
